Dear RUHS Students and Families:
As we continue through the 18-19 school year, there are a number of upcoming celebratory occasions and events.
As we all know, many students and adults document these and other experiences (and comments) on social media.
It seems that a day doesn’t go by without some sort of controversy due to a teenager, celebrity, athlete, politician, group, or business(person), just to name a few, making a poor decision with regards to social media. Some of you may already be aware of this past story regarding the revocation of admissions by Harvard University:
Parents & Guardians, please take a moment to review your social media expectations with your daughter or son.
Students, please be aware of your online conduct at all times. Please think before you post!
Social media posts (and text messages) with evidence of hate speech, discrimination, racism, bullying/harassment, and/or threats of violence towards any member of RUHS will result in disciplinary consequences and may involve RBPD. Additionally, students engaged in illegal activities will be reported to parents/guardians and local authorities.
Thank you, everyone, for your support in making common sense decisions with regards to social media.
