Hello Sea Hawks!
I am honored to be a part of the Sea Hawk family as an Assistant Principal here at RUHS. You will find me in Redondo Red on Fridays and in crazy orange gear to support the class of 2019 for spirit days. I love seeing Sea Hawks striving for excellence on the court, on the stage, in the classroom, and in the many clubs and extra curricular passions of the students here.
I grew up in a suburb outside of Sacramento and moved to Los Angeles to attend college. My degrees have included an International Studies major, a Spanish minor, a degree in Secondary English Education, and another in American Studies. Eventually, I hope to return to earn a doctorate in education, too! I love being in the classroom as a student and as a teacher.
I entered education through Teach for America, and over the years I have taught middle school English and English as a Second Language courses; I have worked in schools as a Title 1 coordinator, an instructional coach, and as an administrator. After quite a few years and five different school sites, I feel qualified to say that Redondo Union is a fantastic place!
This year I will be working closely with the Attendance Office, the Social Studies Department, the Career & Technical Education Department, and Athletics among other programs.
Go Sea Hawks!
