AP Calculus AB (Period 2)
Course Description
AP Calculus AB has a prerequisite of a C or better in PreCalc/Trig. The AP Calculus AB curriculum will follow the guidelines published by the College Board. This is a one-year course that covers the first semester of college level calculus. Students are required to take the Advanced Placement examination in calculus at the end of the year. We will cover Chapters 1-8 and some of Chapter 9 in the 5th Edition of the Finney, Demana, Waits, Kennedy, Bressoud Calculus Graphical, Numerical, Algebraic book. Major topics include Elementary Functions, Limits and Continuity, Differential Calculus, and Integral Calculus and Applications of Differential and Integral Calculus. The TI-84 Graphing Calculator is used extensively in the course
