Media Arts Advanced 2017-Period 4

Course Description

The Media Arts Advanced class is designed to build specific skills upon a strong foundation and general knowledge of digital video production. Students learn all aspects of cinematic storytelling, from writing and producing to directing, sound design, cinematography and editing. The program emphasizes exploration of the student filmmaker’s personal creative voice through hands-on filmmaking.  Students will create several video projects, which include: Documentaries, public service announcements (PSA), short films, school promotional videos and much more. Students will learn advanced editing techniques using the following software programs: Final Cut Pro X Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and Motion.  

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Media Arts; specifically with a grade of a “B” or higher and a citizenship

                        grade of “S” or above or instructor approval as a prerequisite.
