Children today are the most educated generation ever, but they are also the most stressed out. It may be that they haven’t been taught resilience: the skills that help youth cope, handle defeat, bounce back from setback and learn to live independently. Hear from Dr. Borba, a globally-recognized educational psychologist and parenting expert, about simple ways to help students learn to manage time and stress and practical ideas to boost self-reliance and confidence at the Families Connected Speaker Series. Presented by Beach Cities Health District and South Bay Families Connected, in partnership with Hermosa Beach City School District, Manhattan Beach Unified School District and Redondo Beach Unified School District.
