CAML:
RUHS will offer the American Mathematics Competitions (known as the AMC 12 & the AMC 10) online this year on the afternoon of Wednesday February 10.
You must sign up in advance--ask your math teacher for the link. Last year RUHS had 2 students who performed well enough on the AMC 12 to be invited to the next round of this highly prestigious
national contest. Maybe this year it will be you!
AP ART AWARD:
Congratulations on the selection of Foster Townsend's artwork for inclusion in the 2020 AP Art
and Design Digital Exhibit. The exhibit features 51 international high school artists and showcases the diverse ideas, materials, and processes students used to create artworks based on personal
experience. Over 62,000 portfolios were reviewed to select the artwork for the exhibit, and the
inclusion of student work from Redondo Union High School's Visual Art Department is worthy of
celebration!
2020-2021 YEARBOOK PHOTOS:
The staff of the yearbook is working on putting together the 2021 Pilot, but as you know traditional student photos have not been taken yet. In order to guarantee that we can include everyone in the yearbook, we need your help. Please see the attached instructions for uploading your own photos for use in the yearbook. We are asking you to use the HJ eShare app, provided by Herf Jones, to upload your photos to our yearbook staff. See complete details in the letter attached. DEADLINE IS 2/1/2021!
ASB:
ASB is holding a cutest pet competition among the teachers and staff of RUHS. In this competition,
students will vote for the cutest pets on Redondo’s social media account, @sammyseahawk. If you want to join the competition, please email 1-3 pictures to @Kaitlyn Cloutier and include their name!
Please submit your picture(s) by Wednesday, January 20th to be entered into this competition. Thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing some very cute animals!
BASEBALL TRYOUTS:
The tryouts will take place Tuesday, February 2nd through Friday, February 5th. The tryouts will take place between the hours of 3:00-6:00 and will be by appointment only via Google Form attached to this email.
SCROC INFO:
SoCal ROC Spring semester online courses begin Monday, February 8th! Earn high school elective credits while learning valuable skills and exploring a career in graphic design or the medical field. Courses are FREE for high school students! Contact your Career Guidance Specialist for more information and to
