25-26 Registration info

Hello Sea Hawk Families!

We hope you are all having a relaxing, safe summer break and are ready to start next school year refreshed and ready to learn and grow!

Registration for Redondo Union High School 2025-26 will take place August 8 - 14. During Registration days, you will have the opportunity to purchase school items, get your student ID (view a picture day reminder from Dorian Studios), pick up your textbooks, pay overdue fines see your draft schedule with teachers, periods, and classrooms. Please be aware that schedules still might change before the first day of school. Please check your PowerSchool for your official schedule on August 20th. Sport rosters are continuing to be updated. Students who tried out, please check your PowerSchool on the first day, as your schedule will have changed. 

If your student has any overdue library, textbook, or resource items (including calculators, loaner Chromebooks, etc.), please ensure these are returned during registration. Students with overdue items may have their class schedule held at registration. If items have been lost, a check or money order made payable to RBUSD may be submitted to the library at registration to clear the account. Students can review their library account by logging into their portal and accessing Destiny Discover. Click HERE for step-by-step instructions on how to log in to Destiny Discover. Here is the Registration Checklist and Registration Map. Students report through our main front gate on Sea Hawk Way. To start the Re-Registration process, please confirm your information by logging in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account. The Re-Registration Link will be available on your Parent Portal account starting in early August.

Starting in early August, before you come to Registration, you will have the opportunity to make purchases online through our ASB Webstore to speed up the process. Many items are available, such as our ASB Spirit Packages (admission to sporting events, discounts on school dances, spirit shirt, yearbook, Parent Community Card), PE clothes and a lock (required for all freshmen), and the Senior Sticker (access to senior events). Please print your receipt and bring it with you to Registration. Please note that incoming 9th graders and students new to the district will be able to access the ASB Webstore starting in early August.

Incoming 9th graders

Please bring your middle school Chromebook and charger to Registration. You will need to turn in your middle school Chromebook and charger before receiving your new high school ones. And remember, you will need to get PE clothes and a lock. 

Returning students

You ALSO need to bring your Chromebook to Registration. All high school students will receive new Chromebooks. If you have a loaner Chromebook to return, please return it at Registration.

Seniors

Please fill out the forms below and return them at Registration. 

We are going to need all hands on deck for Registration from August 8 to 14! If you would like to help, please volunteer with our PTSA (Parent-Teacher-Student Association) through this PTSA sign-up link. You can also become a PTSA member here and even earn Sea Hawk Club membership status. We can’t wait for you to join our dedicated RUHS team!

Parking for Registration will be available in the main lot on One Sea Hawk Way and along Diamond Street. Parking will be limited, so please arrive during your designated window of time on your grade-level day.

 

All families using Beach Cities Transit services are invited to view the Beach Cities Transit page on our school website for information on schedules and bus passes. Beach Cities Transit will be available to take applications and answer questions during Registration. Please reference the table below for the required documents for new and returning applicants. Additional information and applications can be found on the Beach Cities Transit RBUSD Students page. 

Only check/money order/or cashier's check will be processed for BCT.

NO CASH OR CARD PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY BCT.

  • Check Payments for August or September BCT pass or multiple months (Check payments shall be made out to City of Redondo Beach)

If a student cannot attend Registration for their grade level or the make-up day for all grade levels, students can pick up their items and take their school picture on the first day of school. School pictures will be available in the Dance Room (2nd floor of the Small Gym), and textbooks and Chromebooks will be available for pick-up in the RUHS Library.
