Course Description
Biology is the study of all living things and how they interact with one another and with their environment.
In CP Biology, students will learn about the living world while gaining critical thinking skills and learning to think analytically and scientifically. Students will develop an understanding of the life sciences, including a greater understanding of environmental and medical issues in the “real world.”
How Parents/Guardians can stay connected to our class:
#1) Sign up for Google Classroom by returning the parent signature sheet to me with your email address added (or send me an email requesting to sign up to Google Classroom). When I add you as a parent to our Google Classroom, you will receive an invite to confirm via email. This is the best place to check daily agendas, announcements and upcoming due dates. It helps answer the age-old question of "What did you do in school today?" 2) Follow our class Instagram - @_iheartscience_ - for pictures of educational activities we are doing in class.
This is one of the best ways to see the exciting things we are doing in class and foster positive conversations with your student. Studies show that being interested and involved in what the students are doing in class has a significant and positive impact on student effort, persistence, and growth mindset. I highly encourage you to follow our Instagram account for real-time images of educational activities so you can share and be part of our learning experience.
3) Sign up for "Remind" texts or emails.
Remind is an app I use to send reminders to students and parents who have signed up using the instructions below. The app allows me to send reminders either via email or text anonymously (no phone numbers are exchanged). I send reminders regarding upcoming due dates and tests. I send these reminders once or twice per week, but please DO NOT rely on these only. It is always the student’s responsibility to check the class agenda and google classroom for due dates.

To sign up for the app: Open a web browser on a smartphone and go to rmd.at/ruhsbio18
