RUHS SOFTBALL TRYOUTS:

Your 2021 Bay League Champion Softball Team is preparing for our 2022 Season and we are having tryouts on September 1st, from 3:15pm - 4:30pm at the Softball Field (just south of the pool). Please contact Coach Dessert at jdessert@rbusd.org if you are in another sport or if you have any questions. All players interested in joining the Sea Hawk Baseball program for the 2022 season will be required to try out on the following dates:

RUHS BASEBALL:

Returners and incoming players Grades 11-12: Tryouts will take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays from September 28 - October 14 from 3:30-6:30pm on Memorial Field. Mandatory meeting Tuesday, 9/22 at the field. Incoming players Grades 9-10: Tryouts will take place Monday, Oct18-Thursday, Oct 21 from 3:30-6:30pm on Memorial Field. RUHS DRUMLINE INTERESTED:

Do you play piano or keyboard or any other drum instruments? Ever wanted to be a part of the Redondo drumline? The Redondo Union Percussion Class is available for anyone wanting to play

keyboards and drums. We are also looking for students wanting to learn how to play keyboard or drums for anyone who's interested. No prior experience is necessary. Please contact Mr. Vizcarra at rvizcarra@rbusd.org if interested.

RUHS GIRLS SOCCER:

RUHS Girls Soccer will be hosting tryouts next week for our 5th period soccer class and our upcoming winter season. Wed Sept 1st during 5th Period - Girls currently enrolled in 5th period Girls Soccer who are returners from last year's Frosh/ Soph or current Juniors from last year's JV will tryout from 1:15-3pm on the athletic field.  Bring Cleats and Shin Guards. Thursday Sept 2nd - All girls not

enrolled in 5th period who would like to be moved into 5th period soccer will try out after school from 3pm to 5pm on the athletic field.

INTERACT CLUB:

Are you interested in building international understanding and making new friends around the world? Interact clubs bring together young people to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self. Find out how serious leadership can be seriously fun! Come check out Interact Club on Tuesday during lunch in the ASB room - located in the student services building.

MATH TUTORING:

Are you confused during math class? Is there a homework problem that you can't figure out? Do you not understand why you got a bad grade on your test? Head on down to the math tutoring club in room 313 every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch. You will receive personalized, one-on-one help from your peers, absolutely free. Our tutors can help you in every math class taught at RUHS on

every topic. We can provide you alternate pathways to answers that your teachers don't teach you during class. Sea Hawks, if you want to help your peers improve their math abilities and earn

community service hours, you can become a tutor by coming to one of our club meetings. Again, the math tutoring club is meeting every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch in room 313. All students are welcome.

SCHOOL BREAKFAST & LUNCH:

Free breakfast and lunch meals will be available for all students, each day in the Student Union and at the two pods. A la carte snacks and drinks will be available for purchase outside at the snack

windows. Students must have their student ID with them to scan for the cashier when receiving free meals or purchasing snack items. Cash payments will no longer be accepted. Please use

SoCal ROC Fall 2021 semester online courses begin Monday, September 13th! Earn high school elective credits while learning valuable skills and exploring a career in graphic design or the medical field. Courses are after school and FREE for high school students! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

South Bay Parkland Conservancy is looking for volunteers willing to weed, water, and plant the rest of the plant inventory around the amphitheater and lower pond areas at Hopkins Wilderness Park.
