RBEF annually funds over a million dollars in programs and staff that impacts every RBUSD student. At RUHS, RBEF funds 11th Grade PSAT, Music Instrument & Repairs, AVID, Literacy Coaches, Beach Cities Robotics, the NEW

Homecoming tickets are on sale NOW! The Homecoming Dance is on Saturday, October 2nd at the RUHS Student Union from 7:00-11:00 PM . The theme is Black + White Mask-uerade! Come dance the night away, enjoy some food, and witness the crowning of the 2021 Homecoming Royalty! You can purchase a ticket online in the ASB web store, or in the Finance Office.
Ticket prices are as follows:
9/18-9/24 $45 with ASB and $50 without
9/25-10/1 $50 with ASB and $55 without
Only RUHS guests are allowed to attend.
The CSF (California Scholarship Federation) honor roll registration window will open on Monday, September 20th and be open through Monday, October, 4th. Students in grades 10 through 12 who qualify and want to joining should fill out an application (available on the Google Classroom page or in room 706 starting Monday) and bring it, along with their June report card, to be stamped in room 706 at lunch only. Students will then take the stamped application to the ASB finance office, along with $5, to complete their registration. There will not be online registration this year. The window will close on Monday, October 4th, and late applications will not be accepted. The Google Classroom code for this year’s CSF page is qm6axo6. Interested students should join there, as information will be pushed out from there first. More information about how to qualify is available there as well. Freshmen will need to wait to apply until February, when they have an RUHS report card, but they may join the Google Classroom now.
RUHS THEATRE ARTS:
Get ready to deck the halls! RUHS Theatre Arts will be holding auditions and technical interviews for the Winter Musical – ELF, based on the hit movie starring Will Ferrell! Interviews for technical crew will be held September 27th, and Vocal and Dance auditions will be held September 28th & 29th for actors. RUHS GIRLS GOLF UPDATES:
This week, our JV girls won both of their matches against Torrance. On Monday, our away match at Los Verdes saw freshman Jalene White-Short's stellar 46 lead the team to an 8-shot victory (267-275). Then, our home match Wednesday at the Alondra Par 3 saw us defeat Torrance 205-211, with freshmen Allison Cha and Sophie Wildenhain each shooting 39.
All interested players Grades 11-12: Tryouts will take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays from September 28 - October 14 from 3:30-6:30pm on Memorial Field. Mandatory meeting Tuesday, 9/22 at the field. Incoming players Grades 9-10: Tryouts will take place Monday, Oct 18-Thursday, Oct 21 from 3:30-6:30pm on Memorial Field. Are you struggling in Physics? Do you need extra help on your homework or studying for your upcoming test? Come on over to the Physics Tutoring Club, starting on 9/21, every Tuesday and Thursday in room 125 to receive personalized, one-on-one help from other Physics students, for free. Sea Hawks, if you are interested in tutoring your peers, earning community service hours, and practicing your own physics abilities, head over to one of our club meetings.
Are you confused during math class? Is there a homework problem that you can't figure out? Do you not understand why you got a bad grade on your test? Head on down to the math tutoring club in room 313 every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch. You will receive personalized, 1-on-1 help from your peers, absolutely free. Our tutors can help you in every math class taught at RUHS on every topic. We can provide you alternate pathways to answers that your teachers don't teach you during class. Sea Hawks, if you want to help your peers improve their math abilities and earn community service hours, you can become a tutor by coming to one of our club meetings. Again, the math tutoring club is meeting every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch in room 313. All students are welcome.
Do you need help with your chemistry homework or preparing for a chemistry exam? Head on down to the Chem tutoring club in room 122 every Tuesday and Friday during lunch starting on 9/17. You will receive personalized, one-on-one help from your peers, absolutely free. All students are welcome.
Biology peer tutoring will be available to all levels starting Tuesday, September 21, in Mrs. Frames' room (room 126), after school from 3:00 to 3:30. We’re also looking for current or former AP Biology students to be tutors, so if you feel confident and are interested in peer tutoring for service hours, please come to Mrs. Frame’s room after school on Tuesday September 21st for the first meeting. South Bay Parkland Conservancy is looking for volunteers willing to weed, water, and plant the rest of the plant inventory around the amphitheater and lower pond areas at Hopkins Wilderness Park. The Key Club has already approved this project and deemed it safe for students.

The library staff will print your assignments for $.10 per page. Purchase a printing punch card for $1.00 and receive 11 pages or supply your own white paper.
