RUHS cheer would like to invite your Jr. Sea Hawks, grades K – 6th, to our annual Jr. Sea Hawk Cheer Clinic October 6th, 7th and 8th. Come learn cheers and dances on the 6th and 7th of October. Our varsity football team will play Culver City for Elementary School Night on the 8th and Jr. Sea Hawks will perform at half time! To register your student or a family/friend’s student please complete the registration form and enclose it in an envelope with the registration fee, AOR Participation Waiver and COVID-19 Waiver. All of the documents should be submitted by October 4th at 3:00PM in order to secure registration and a custom clinic t-shirt. You can drop them off at RUHS.


SoCal ROC 2nd quarter class, Adobe Illustrator, begins on November 15th! Earn high school elective credits while learning valuable skills that prepare you for a future career in graphic design. This course is after school, online via google classroom, and FREE for high school students! Your SoCal ROC career guidance specialist is available to answer any questions in the Nest every Thursday during 2nd period and snack. Add your name to the sign up sheet in the Nest to meet with her ASAP!

*RUHS Theatre Arts is proud to welcome you back to the theatre as we proudly present  Anatomy of Gray, by Jim Leonard. This beautiful coming of age story focuses on how a small town comes together through hardships, finding comfort through what they’ve lost, and what they’ve gained in a uniquely sentimental way. Join us in the RUHS Auditorium October 14th, 15th, 16th at 7:00 pm and October 17th at 2:00 pm! Tickets can be purchased for $8.00 through any cast/crew member or at the ASB Finance Office. Tickets are $10 at the door and available on We hope you’ll join us for our first production back this year!  


The JV girls' golf team lost to Peninsula by 8 shots at Harbor Golf Course. Sophie Wildenhain was low for Redondo with a 53 on the challenging course. At the Alondra Par 3 (our home course), Sophie was again our low scorer with a 39, and we lost to Peninsula by a single shot!


All interested players Grades 11-12: Tryouts will take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays from September 28 - October 14 from 3:30-6:30pm on Memorial Field. Mandatory meeting Tuesday, 9/22 at the field. Do you need extra help on your physics homework or studying for your upcoming test? Come on over to the Physics Tutoring Club, every Tuesday and Thursday in room 125 to receive personalized, one-on-one help from other Physics students, for free. Sea Hawks, if you are interested in tutoring your peers, earning community service hours, and practicing your own physics abilities, head over to one of our club meetings.


Are you confused during math class? Is there a homework problem that you can't figure out? Head on down to the math tutoring club in room 313 every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch. You will receive personalized, 1-on-1 help from your peers, absolutely free. Our tutors can help you in every math class taught at RUHS on every topic. We can provide you alternate pathways to answers that your teachers don't teach you during class. Sea Hawks, if you want to help your peers improve their math abilities and earn community service hours, you can become a tutor by coming to one of our club meetings. Again, the math tutoring club is meeting every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch in room 313. All students are welcome.


Do you need help with your chemistry homework or preparing for a chemistry exam? Head on down to the Chem tutoring club in room 122 every Tuesday and Friday during lunch starting on 9/17. You will receive personalized, one-on-one help from your peers, absolutely free. All students are welcome.


Biology peer tutoring will be available to all levels starting Tuesday, September 21, in Mrs. Frames' room (room 126), after school from 3:00 to 3:30. 

We’re also looking for current or former AP Biology students to be tutors, so if you feel confident and are interested in peer tutoring for service hours, please come to Mrs. Frame’s room after school on Tuesday September 21st  for the first meeting. South Bay Parkland Conservancy is looking for volunteers willing to weed, water, and plant the rest of the plant inventory around the amphitheater and lower pond areas at Hopkins Wilderness Park. The Key Club has already approved this project and deemed it safe for students. Please sign up using the link below; there are several time slots and days to volunteer on.

founded by Mayor Bill Brand committed to preserving open space and creating more parks in the coastal cities of the South Bay in Los Angeles, CA.


The library staff will print your assignments for $.10 per page. Purchase a printing punch card for $1.00 and receive 11 pages or supply your own white paper. 


Free breakfast and lunch meals will be available for all students, each day in the Student Union and at the two pods. A la carte snacks and drinks will be available for purchase outside at the snack

windows. Students must have their student ID with them to scan for the cashier when receiving free meals or purchasing snack items. Cash payments will no longer be accepted. Please use to apply money to your account.
