BELL SCHEDULE REMINDER
There will be a change to our bell schedule on the following dates:
- Monday, June 2
Previously scheduled to start at 9:25 am, these four dates will now follow the “8:30 am Stacked (A) Schedule” available on the Bell Schedule tab of our school website. There will be no zero period on these days.
On our school website, the RUHS SY 24-25 Weekly Calendar and RUHS SY 24-25 Community Calendar have also been updated to reflect the bell schedule changes on the four dates noted above.
We will communicate reminders to the community in advance of each date.

Redondo Beach Library is hosting a TEEN PROGRAM, Mission Impossible Escape Room. Please see attached flyer for dates and locations.
AYSO Region 17 North Redondo is now open. Region 17 home fields include Adams, Lincoln, and Washington. Ages 4-18 old this calendar year may join. See flyer for more details.

New Scholarship Opportunity for RUHS Students!
Starting with the Class of 2026, Keep the Esplanade Beautiful (KEB), a local environmental organization, is offering a scholarship to graduating seniors. To qualify, students must volunteer at least three times at a Saturday Sweep event before applying in February of senior year.
Saturday Sweep Details:
- When: First Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM
- Where: Meet at I Street on the Esplanade

Impact Internships Summer 2025 STEM Immersion Programs
Impact Internships is offering virtual STEM immersion programs over nine Saturday afternoons from June 7th to August 2nd. In our Health Science Immersion Program (H-SIP) high school students hear from health professional speakers as they learn about the academic, research and professional care settings of the health sciences field. In our Computer Science Immersion Program (C-SIP), students explore the changing world of technology as we hear from tech professionals and explore fields such as coding, web development, software, and user design. In our Engineering Immersion Program (E-IP) we explore subjects such as chemical, civil and computer engineering.
The application deadline for all three programs is May 18th. All programs are free for students whose families qualify for the Free and Reduced lunch program and a low fee for all other students. Please refer to the attached flyer or impactinternships.org for additional information.

Parent Event: How to Talk to Your Teen (and Find Out What’s Really Going On
The Redondo Beach Council of PTAs, Torrance Council of PTAs, and Beach Cities Health District invite you to an engaging and eye-opening parent education event: How to Talk to Your Teen (and Find Out What’s Really Going On) with Kerianne Lawson, LCSW Chief Programs Officer, Beach Cities Health District.
Location: West High School Auditorium, 20401 Victor St. Torrance, CA 90503 (parking is available in the lot directly across from the auditorium)
This FREE event is for adults and best suited for children ages 10+.

SURVEY
The purpose of the LCAP Feedback Survey is to gather information and input regarding current programs and services within the Redondo Beach Unified School District as we plan for the future needs of our students. There is one survey where each educational partner will complete the section that pertains to them. The survey is open Monday, April 28 - Friday, May 16. See attached flyer
WEBINARS/TRAINING/WORKSHOPS
- The 2025 Karim Kharbouch Coding Fellowship (KKCF) is officially open! This free fellowship designed for high school youth, is a 12-month exploratory program that starts with paid, virtual summer tech training followed by monthly college & career mentorship and workshops. Students will also receive support with foundational career readiness and skills like resume building, mock interviewing, and networking. - The South Bay Workforce Investment Board will host a virtual series of Career Workshops designed to help students gain essential job skills starting on Monday, April 21. - Dual Enrollment Workshop-Get a head start on college while you are still in high school! In conjunction with El Camino College, Assemblymember Muratsuchi will host a Dual Enrollment Workshop for K-12 students and their families who are interested in learning more about Dual Enrollment. The event will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to Noon in the El Camino College East Dining Room. Bring your family and friends to learn how to save money and time by getting a head start on your college education by enrolling in classes that count for high school and college credit! Learn if you qualify to see what steps you should take to start receiving college credit throughout your high school education!
