BASKETBALL SKILLS CLINIC

Players of all skill levels ages 8-14, please come out to join us and get better. Coach Morris and staff will host a day of fun and fundamentals that will be geared to player development (shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, etc.)

BELL SCHEDULE REMINDER

There will be a change to our bell schedule on the following dates: 

 

  • Monday, June 2

 

Previously scheduled to start at 9:25 am, these four dates will now follow the “8:30 am Stacked (A) Schedule” available on the Bell Schedule tab of our school website. There will be no zero period on these days. 

 

On our school website, the   RUHS SY 24-25 Weekly Calendar and RUHS SY 24-25 Community Calendar have also been updated to reflect the bell schedule changes on the four dates noted above.

 

We will communicate reminders to the community in advance of each date.

 

COMMUNITY

Redondo Beach Library is hosting a TEEN PROGRAM, Mission Impossible Escape Room. Please see attached flyer for dates and locations.

 

AYSO Region 17 North Redondo is now open. Region 17 home fields include Adams, Lincoln, and Washington. Ages 4-18 old this calendar year may join. See flyer for more details.

 

State of the City Address for RUHS Students

Mayor Light will be giving his State of the City Address for RUHS students in the Bingo Room on Friday, May 30 at Lunch. Students will get the chance to learn about what's going on in Redondo Beach and speak with Mayor Light about local matters.

 

2nd Annual South Bay Chess Championships Tournament-ages 8-18. 50 players multiple rounds and matches! Registration is free, please note parental permission slips are required.

New Scholarship Opportunity for RUHS Students!
Starting with the Class of 2026, Keep the Esplanade Beautiful (KEB), a local environmental organization, is offering a scholarship to graduating seniors. To qualify, students must volunteer at least three times at a Saturday Sweep event before applying in February of senior year.

 

Saturday Sweep Details:

REMINDERS

SENIORS- Please return all overdue library and textbook items or pay outstanding fines prior to graduation ticket distribution on May 19th.  If paying fines, please bring a check or money order made out to RBUSD to the library by May 15th.  Questions about your account please email [email protected] or stop by the library.

 

Next Year's Enrollment Survey-Please complete the survey below for non-returning students.

We ask families to submit one survey for each current RBUSD student, grades TK-11, who will not be attending an RBUSD school for the upcoming year.

Tuesday 5/27 at lunch, join us in the RUHS Wellness Center to learn about the connection between mindfulness and origami.  Learn how to fold origami with demonstrations by Peer Counselor, Kai Parr. 

 

Wednesday 5/28 Are you the type of person who enjoys learning by doing?  Join student Christina Couch on W 5/28 at lunch for a workshop on Kinesthetic Learning Strategies. 

 

Monday 6/2 Join Christina Couch for her final lunch time workshop on learning styles, what they are, and how they can enhance your life outside of school.  Takes place in the RUHS Wellness Center.
