RBEF NEWS
Your RBEF dollars at work in Career Technical Education (CTE):
CTE aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences for both college and career pathways. In this year's project, School-To-Career students researched, planned, toured, interviewed alumni, and then created their own presentations to promote CTE programs at local community colleges to incoming Adams and Parras freshmen and current high school students. "Thanks to RBEF grant, we could transport 70 students to El Camino and LA Harbor Colleges" said Ms. Aimee Spector, (School-To-Career Program Coordinator). The impact of this project aims to increase interest and enrollment in CTE classes at RUHS. "We also expect increased Dual Enrollment classes through RUHS at the local community colleges like El Camino College" said Ms. Gina Natividad (Special Education classroom teacher).
