RBEF NEWS

Your RBEF Dollars at work in the Mock Trial Program:

The Mock Trial program helps our students develop critical thinking, public speaking, and collaborative problem-solving skills that prepare them for success far beyond the courtroom.

Part of the program is to participate in multiple competitions, taking place outside the Campus. "I would like to sincerely thank RBEF for the grant supporting our transportation to the courthouse this season.  This funding ensured that every student on our team had a reliable and safe way to reach the competitions in downtown LA." said Mike Henges, Mock Trial Teacher Coach.

Your RBEF dollars at work at the RUHS Library:

The new flexible seating chairs immediately capture the attention of those who enter the library. While they look like something out of a sci-fi movie,  students have quickly discovered the awesome value of their 360-degree swivel and adjustable positioning, allowing them to find a level of comfort that suits whatever needs they came to the library looking for. Placing these chairs in the library lobby has made them highly visible and accessible, encouraging both students and staff to use the space in new ways. "Thanks to the ongoing support of RBEF, our library continues to operate as a space students feel welcomed and safe. These chairs contribute to that comfort and safety." said Ms. Jones, RUHS Librarian and AP Capstone Teacher.

RBEF SUMMER SCHOOL

RBEF Summer School: Registration is now open for RBEF Middle and High School Summer Sessions - offering both credit and enrichment opportunities designed to keep students learning, exploring, and growing all summer long. See flyer HERE. At the high school level, we offer credit-based classes to help students get ahead and free up their schedule – Geometry, Music Appreciation, Modern History, US History, Ethnic Studies, Financial Literacy, and Expository Writing - but also enrichment classes like Algebra 1 Prep, Study Skills, and PSAT/SAT Prep to help them prepare for the upcoming year. The RBEF Summer Sessions help students stay engaged, build confidence, and prepare for the year ahead. Explore the full list of classes and find the right fit for your student. REGISTER NOW: https://www.rbef.org/summer-sessions/

STUDENT DROP OFF ITEMS

Items may be dropped off at the student drop off table in the front lobby.  Please be sure that the items are labeled with students first and last names. We are not allowed to call classrooms unless of an emergency so please coordinate with your student on picking up at a time that is not disruptive to instructional time.  Any food items not picked up by the end of the day will be discarded and all other items sent to our lost and found in the attendance office.

NO food delivery services are allowed and will be denied for the safety of staff/students.
