STUDENT DROP OFF ITEMS

NO food delivery services are allowed and will be denied for the safety of staff/students.

Please be sure that the items are labeled in advance with students first and last names. We are not allowed to call classrooms unless of an emergency so please coordinate with your student on picking up at a time that is not disruptive to instructional time.  Any food items not picked up by the end of the day will be discarded and all other items sent to our lost and found in the attendance office.

CAMPUS BUZZER (Visitor Access, Health & Attendance Office Pick Up)

We are very excited to implement the new campus security enhancement to RUHS front office.

Visitors-please ring the doorbell (blue button) to the right of the front double doors and gray pillar that are facing our small visitor parking lot on Sea Hawk Way. Our office staff will verify your visit and upon verification you will be granted access. You must use the door on the right-hand side and pull to open. This is the only door that you may use for access to the lobby. As a reminder please be sure to always have a valid ID for your visit. Office hours are 8am-4pm.

Health Office Pick Up-please have a valid ID to show our health clerk.  Upon entry to the lobby our staff will buzz you through the second door entrance to our admin building. The health office will be straight down the hallway, first office on the left-hand side.

Attendance Office Pick Up-please have a valid ID to show our attendance office. Upon entry to the lobby our staff will buzz you through the second door entrance to our admin building. The attendance window will be straight down the hallway, last window on the left before the two gray double doors (inside the building). Please note you will be asked to wait outside, or in your car for your student. ALL students must check in with the attendance office to receive their yellow off grounds slip before leaving campus. For your convenience, you may also call (310) 798-8665 x 4018 to have a student called out.

ASB Finance Office- Upon entry to the lobby our staff will buzz you through the second door entrance to our admin building. The ASB finance office will be straight down the hallway, last window on the right-hand side before the gray double doors (inside the building). Office hours are M-F 8am-4pm closed for lunch from 11:30am-12:30pm. Please note during school snack and lunch hours ASB will need to help students first and wait times may occur.

Thank you for helping make RUHS safe!

If you choose to purchase a senior ad, you will create the ad yourself using the Varsity website, (code: 6724) following the directions on the website. You must complete your ad before purchasing. If you have questions, please contact Varsity directly, since the school yearbook staff doesn’t handle senior ads.

Reflections Update

Ready for some exciting news on this year's Reflections art contest? We are extending the submission deadline to Sunday, October 18th. This gives students three extra days to fine tune entries, and get submissions into the contest.

Remember, this year's theme, "What My Culture Means to Me," leaves room for everyone to participate. Culture presents so many opportunities to think outside the box. For tips on exploring this year's theme, and the Reflections program, check out this helpful info page: A Guide to the PTA Reflections Art Program 2026-2027 & Exploring the Theme: What My Culture Means to Me. Or, feel free to check out our Instagram (@ruhs_ptsa_reflections) for more information on the theme, and how you can participate.

This program is open to all RUHS and Patricia Dreizler Continuation High School students. Additionally, the Accessible Arts Division was created to ensure that all students, including those with disabilities, have an opportunity to share their voice through the arts. All high school students with IEP's or 504's (under IDEA or ADA), are invited to enter the Accessible Arts division.

Entries will be accepted until 11:59 PM, Sunday, October 18, 2026, and students can submit their work and their applications through this link: https://forms.gle/Pm4D3rMyiNWeWFjm9. Students may enter in as many of the above six categories as they would like, but entries are limited to one per category. Please remember that the emails used for this form must be able to receive "external" emails to receive confirmation of their submission. Do not use a student @rbusd.org address to submit entries.

All entries will be blind judged by a collective of creative professionals. This is a wonderful chance for students to get recognition for their artistic efforts, win some prizes, and add some flair to college applications. Students also have the option to have their work featured on the RUHS Reflections Instagram account, and other social channels.

No matter your experience level, if you love creating, we want to see what you’ve made!
