 ASB INFORMATION:

*It is not too late to purchase the Back-to-School Special! Cost is $140 and includes the ASB sticker (will get you into most sporting events, home and away), class shirt , planner and the fabulous yearbook.  If you do not want to buy the yearbook, there is an ASB  Promotional Special which will get you the ASB sticker, planner and class shirt for $60. Purchase in the ASB Finance Office or on-line. Sales end Friday, September 28th. Don’t delay and purchase today!

*All RUHS students wishing to use the hall locker assigned to you must use a RUHS lock. Purchase for $7 in the ASB Finance Office. 

*Hey Seniors! It's not too late to buy a Senior Sticker and enjoy all the fun senior events we have to offer (plus food!)! Stickers cost $40 and can be purchased in the ASB finance office! Hurry before it's too late!

TEEN COURT:

Teen Court is back in session!  Students interested in being part of this student-run, active democracy class, please contact M. Botchie in room 202, sing on to Google Classroom code "wh2eu", and/or come to the Courtroom (Large Bingo room) on 9/5 @ 3:15 to enroll in the class or to get more information on this stellar program where teens make a difference in the lives of other teens.

PARKING AT RUHS:

Staff and Students: All parking spots are assigned and permitted. In order for you to park in the parking lot during the school day, you MUST have been assigned a designated spot. Please do not park in the parking lot if you did not receive a spot, you will be towed.

REDONDO RED:

Every Friday at Redondo is Redondo Friday! So sport RED or Redondo gear. Everyone should have received a Red “Flock” shirt on the first day of school, so you have something to wear! Didn’t get a shirt? Please see Ms. Gabriel or Mr. Islas in the administration office to help you get a shirt.

SPORTS TRYOUT:

Surf Tryouts will be Sunday, September 9th at 7:00am at the Hermosa Pier.

The Alternative Cross Country Tryout will be TODAY at 3:30pm at Entradero Park in Torrance. The tryout will consist of a Cross Country race.  Any participants interested should email [email protected], or see her in room 822.

Boys Soccer tryouts will be Thursday, Sept. 6th and Friday, Sept. 7th from 3:15 – 4:30pm on the Athletic Field.

Girls Basketball will hold tryouts on Wednesday, September 5 from 3:15 - 4:30pm.  For more information, please contact us at [email protected]

Boys Basketball will be held on Thursday September 6th from 4:30 – 6:30 in the Big Gym. All boys interested in playing basketball are required to come to tryouts, unless you are currently playing a fall sport. Any questions, please see Coach Parvaz in room 206 at snack or lunch.

Softball tryouts will be held on Wednesday, September 12 at 3:30 PM on the softball field. All players who were not on varsity for Redondo Union High School in the 2018 season and any new players wanting trying out will be evaluated on September 12 at 3:30 PM If your player is in a fall sport please have them contact Coach Dessert  via email @  [email protected] or in my office in the small gym to set up an alternate tryout date. 

CLUBS @RUHS

Attention club presidents and anyone interested in starting a club: Come to the ASB room, (room 33) at lunch on Wednesday September 5 to find out more information about starting a club, renewing a club, and Club Recruitment. Meeting is mandatory in order to create a club on campus and participate in club activities this school year. Have questions before the meeting? See Mrs. Mata, Activities Director, in the ASB room, located upstairs in the administration building.

DRESS CODE:

Please remember that RUHS has a strict dress code policy that needs to be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in having to change and/or fix your outfit. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any adult on campus, or look on the website or in your school planner for the dress code policy of what is allowable and what is not.
