Advanced Placement®
What is Advanced Placement® or AP®?
The College Board® offers an Advanced Placement® program which is a collaborative effort among motivated students, dedicated teachers, committed high schools, colleges, and universities. Since its inception in 1955, the AP program has allowed students to take college-level courses and exams and to earn college credit and/or placement while still in high school.
If you are interested in taking AP courses, talk to an AP teacher or your counselor about the course you want to take. Discuss the course's workload and any preparation you may need.
