Link Crew
Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and new students and supports them throughout the first year of their high school experience. Link Leaders are members of the 11th and 12th grade classes who are trained to be positive role models, motivators, and mentors who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school. (The Boomerang Project)
What We Do
- Organize and lead New Student Orientation
- Develop transferrable leadership skills for high school and beyond
- Connect transfer students to the community
- Academic Follow-Up Lessons during RUHS Time for 9th graders
- Crew Lunch Days: Have lunch with your orientation group once a month to connect everyone to campus
- Plan and implement events (Freshman Freeze, Study Sessions, Movie Nights, Scavenger Hunts/Games, and MORE!
- Attend Freshman sports games!

- Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are now OPEN! Paper copies of the application are available in Room 702.
- Paper applications are DUE before 3:30pm on Friday, March 20th to Room 702.

Class & Club Information for 2026-2027
- Link Crew is offered as a 4th period class during the school day as an UC/CSU A-G approved college preparatory elective for 2025-2026.
- Link Crew will also be offered as a CLUB that meets weekly during lunch. Club members will not receive A-G credit.
Required Dates for 2026-2027 Class AND Club Members
These are the initial dates that Link Crew Leaders will be required to attend outside of normal school hours.

April Development Day: Scheduled for Thursday, April 30th from 3:45-5:45pm. Meet your cohort, get an introduction to Link Crew, and design your t-shirt!

Link Leader Training: Wednesday, August 12th and Thursday, August 13th. Leaders MUST attend 2 full days of training (8:00am-1:00pm).

Freshman Orientation: Scheduled for the morning of Friday, August 14th (8:00am-1:00pm).

First Day of School: Wear your Link Crew shirt and help freshmen with directions and questions.
- R U Ready Night: Wear your Link Crew shirt and give tours to prospective families and students. (February)
