SENIOR SEND OFF SPIRIT WEEK:

Next week is Senior Send Off Spirit Week! Monday is “Senioritis” day (wear PJs), Tuesday is “Future is Too Bright” (wear Sun sunglasses), Wednesday is “Summer Sneak Peak” (4th of July Day), Thursday is “College Gear Day” - Seniors will be taking their commitment pictures at snack in the Student Union. And Lastly, Friday will be “Once a Sea Hawk always a Sea Hawk” (wear red)! We hope to see everyone dressed up and as we start to say goodbye to our seniors!

ANNUAL EVENING OF THE ARTS:

Please join us May 22nd at 5:00PM in our Noble Gallery for the Annual Evening of the Arts! Live performances by RUHS Jazz Band. Video performances by Choir and Theater Arts. Catered by Melissa Staab, Ray Vizcarra, and Kelly Self. We look forward to sharing this evening with you.

COMEDY SPORTZ:

Haven’t seen a Comedy Sportz game this year? Well now’s your chance! Come and join us for the LAST Comedy Sportz game of the year. Comedy Sportz Disco Night is on Friday May 24th at 7:00 PM in RUHS Auditorium. Tickets are $5 with ASB and $7 without. Hope to see you for the last improv match of the year!

LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF THE BEACH CITIES:

League of women voters of the beach cities is looking for a current 11th grade student to be the 2019-2020 senior student representative to the League’s Board. Activities may include submitting a monthly school report that includes activities at school that have addressed government, environment, health, homelessness, and education. If you are available you will help with voter registration at school on National Voter Registration Day. If you are interested, please apply to [email protected]. or (310) 379-6663. RUHS YEARBOOKS:

The remaining supply of yearbooks available for sale is extremely limited and we will sell out this year. Buy your yearbook now at the ASB finance office to ensure you do not miss out. Books are $90. There is no possibility of reprints.

RUHS PROM:

You can now purchase your ticket to this year’s Junior/Senior Prom “A Thousand Lights, an Endless Night” held on Saturday, June 8th from 8pm-12am at the Long Beach Convention Center. If you are planning to bring a guest from an outside school, you MUST pick up a guest pass form from the office or on the ASB Webstore to be completed and signed prior to purchasing your ticket, and outside guests must be under the age of 21. Sophomores may attend prom as a GUEST of a Junior or Senior, and both parties must be present at time of purchase of ticket; Freshmen are not allowed to attend Prom. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Mata in the ASB room.

RBEF:

Attention Sea Hawks, are you interested in taking classes during the summer to get ahead in credits? Or to make room in your schedule for a class you really want to take next year? Or to complete a required course for graduation? If so, please consider enrolling in the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation summer program. You can select from a variety of in-person courses such as World or US History, Spanish 2 or 3, Media Arts, and PE. Aside from the in-person classes you can also select several online courses such as Health and Sociology. DRESS CODE:

Please remember that RUHS has a strict dress code policy that needs to be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in having to change and/or fix your outfit. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any adult on campus, or look on the website or in your school planner for the dress code policy of what is allowable and what is not.

PARKING AT RUHS:

Staff and Students: All parking spots are assigned and permitted. In order for you to park in the parking lot during the school day, you MUST have been assigned a designated spot. Please do not park in the parking lot if you did not receive a spot, you will be towed.
