2026 Redondo Summer Sports Camps

 

 

Redondo Union High School is excited to offer our 2026 Summer Sports Camps for incoming and current high school students! These camps are a great opportunity for student-athletes to build skills, stay active, and connect with RUHS coaches and programs over the summer.

Who: All students entering grades 9–12
What: Summer Sports Camps (no grade or credit awarded)
Where: Redondo Union High School, Veterans Park, and Hermosa Beach
Cost: $305 per camp, per athlete (no prorating)

Physical Required: A current physical must be on file before the first day of camp
Camp dates and times vary by sport — please check the attached camp schedule for details.

Registration:
All participants must register online using the link below:

Application and payment are due on the first day of camp.

Additional Information

  • Camps are taught by district-authorized coaches
  • Registration and payment are required to participate
  • No refunds after the first day of camp
  • Camps may be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met
  • Camps are for skill development and are not tryouts for RUHS teams
  • Summer camps do not constitute a guarantee of enrollment at RUHS for permit-seeking students (out of district)
  • All camps are closed on July 4
  • No student will be denied participation due to inability to pay

BAND

Sea Hawk Junior Band and Guard Camp Registration 2026.

June 22-26, 2026. Full Day 8:30 am – 6:00 pm ~ $525 / Half Day 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm ~ $325. Friday evening concert 7:00pm – 8:30pm. Early Bird Registration Open Now through April 15 - Save $50 per student. Regular Registration April 16 to May 31 - Save $25 per student. Registration (after May 31) available as space permits. Sibling Discount - Save $25 per additional sibling.

 

LOCATION: Sign-in and sign-out outside of the Band Room next to the RUHS Auditorium. Corner of PCH & Diamond.

CHEER CAMP

Join our 3rd Annual four-day Redondo Jr Cheer Summer Camp on July 27th - 30th from 9am to 2pm! Each participant will have the opportunity to learn skills, train with our athletes, learn the fundamentals of stunting, learn new material, learn cheers and sideline dances, daily arts and crafts, take pictures, and most of all have a fun time with our future Redondo cheerleaders!  We will also have an amazing showcase on the last day of camp. TIP places high school students, current 10th-12th grade, in paid summer internships across a wide range of industries—technology, healthcare, business, arts, public service, and more. It’s designed to help you gain hands‑on skills, meet mentors, and discover what inspires you. The application includes two parts:

Part 1(Written Application) - A general application where you will submit basic info, interests, resume, and short responses.

Part 2 (Video Questions) - After Part 1, questions will be sent to your email, and you will submit a video of your responses.

SERVICE ACADEMY DAY – MARCH 28, 2026

Congressman Ted W. Lieu’s Annual Service Academy Day is Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, at Da Vinci Schools in El Segundo, CA. Ample free parking will be provided. This event is open to students, parents, and educators. RSVP using this link.  The Service Academy Day is an event geared toward students, giving them the opportunity to meet current service academy students, Congressional District representatives involved in the nomination process, and service academy officials. Representatives from the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and the United States Coast Guard Academy will deliver brief presentations and answer questions. As the U.S. Representative for California’s 36th District, Congressman Lieu has the honor of nominating qualified candidates from our district to each academy.

NCAA Academic Eligibility Presentation

Attention student-athletes and parents!  Planning to play college sports?  Understanding NCAA academic eligibility is essential.  Join RUHS college counselors, Mrs. Cristina Bishop and Mrs. Katie Menschner, on Tuesday, March 31 at 6pm-6:45pm on WebEx for an important presentation to learn the academic requirements for competing at the collegiate level.  This presentation will cover NCAA academic requirements, required coursework & GPA standards, and eligibility timelines & key steps.

 

This presentation will be conducted virtually on WebEx.  You will need to download the WebEx application to your desktop or mobile phone ahead of time in order to join the presentation.

Breaking The Boy Code

Dr. Katie Hurley, author of “Breaking The Boy Code”, will be sharing practical and research-backed evidence of how to improve mental, emotional, academic, and life outcomes for boys.

Summer acting camp is now enrolling! Limited space as this is LA’s most popular acting camp.

3-week session from July 13th-July 31st, ages 5-15 with free before and after care.

The wait is over! RUHS Performing Arts proudly presents: SOMETHING ROTTEN! Featuring 120 RUHS students on stage, backstage and in the orchestra! Journey down to the RUHS Auditorium March 20, 21, 27, 28 at 7:00 pm and March 22 and 28 at 2:00 pm! Tickets can be purchased online at ruhsdrama.com for $10-20.
