RU READY NIGHT:

6:00PM presentation begins in the auditorium, please arrive early as there is limited seating.

Join us February 6th from 4:30-5:15, we will have a self-guided tour available for our future Sea Hawks and their families. Come get familiar with our wonderful facilities, and get a sneak peek into some of our classrooms! Docents will be available at key locations to answer any questions you may have. With over 3,000 students, RUHS prides itself in campus culture and with the student and faculty connections we make. There are over 75 clubs, and a plethora of organizations to get involved in. Come check out the Campus Culture and Club Faire from 5:00-6:00 on the Auditorium Lawn to learn more about all of the ways to get involved at RUHS. There is truly something for everyone!

SINGING VALENTINE GRAMS:

Singing Valentine Grams will be available for purchase February 7th - February 13th . You can purchase a singing gram from any member of advanced choir or outside of the student union at lunch for $3.  Grams include a card and a song sung by members of the advanced choir and will be delivered on Valentine’s Day. There is even an option to send a telephone gram to loved ones outside of the RUHS community. Buy one for your sweetheart, a friend, a family member, or your favorite teacher or staff member!   

WINTER FORMAL:

This year, our winter dance is a Winter Formal! The dance will be on Friday, February 8th from 7pm-10:30 in the Small Gym. Tickets are $12 with an ASB sticker, and $15 without. All tickets include Pizza and a drink! Get dolled up and be ready to party!  Tickets go on sale in the ASB Finance office Tuesday, January 22nd.

SEA HAWK TALK:

Attention incoming 9th grade families! February 21st from 5:30—7:05PM come see workshops about some of our programs offered here at RUHS. Please see attachment for details.

AMC:

 The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) will be offered on Wednesday February 13 after school. The AMC 10 is for 9th & 10th graders, and the AMC 12 is for 11th & 12th graders. If you are interested in participating in these challenging nation-wide contests, please sign up through your math teacher, or find the link at Mr. Baumgartner’s school website.

ALL VOLLEYBALL ATHLETES

It is mandatory for everyone ( even if you were on the team last year) interested in playing for the Girl’s Redondo HS Beach Volleyball Team, to tryout. Date is Tuesday February 5, 2019 Location- Between 1st & 2nd st on the Beach in Hermosa. Time: 3:15pm to 4:30pm. Things to consider to bring: Water, beach towel, sunglasses, sweater and or sweat pants.

ASB APPAREL:

ASB has been working with a new company for some apparel and Sea Hawk gear. There are some pretty nice items. Check it out! Everything is custom order, and will ship to you within 2 weeks of order. https://hittershouse.com/collections/ruhs

DRESS CODE:

Please remember that RUHS has a strict dress code policy that needs to be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in having to change and/or fix your outfit. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any adult on campus, or look on the website or in your school planner for the dress code policy of what is allowable and what is not.

PARKING AT RUHS:

Staff and Students: All parking spots are assigned and permitted. In order for you to park in the parking lot during the school day, you MUST have been assigned a designated spot. Please do not park in the parking lot if you did not receive a spot, you will be towed.
