Art 1

Art 1 is an introduction to drawing and painting.  In the first semester, the class is very structured, emphasizing the fundamentals of art. The students will learn many basic drawing and painting techniques. They are encouraged to use their imaginations and creativity along with their acquired skills. The course consists of art projects, art history, vocabulary, group projects and reading and writing assignments.
